We are able to provide translation services for Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish languages pairs (EN<->PTBR and EN<->ES).
We do also works with Desktop publishing (DTP) in more than 200 languages, including Cyrillic, Asian, Arabic and African languages and other services like text exportation/importation, software engineering, graphic localization, e-learning, multimedia format conversion and much more.

LocWay has extensive experience in the preparation and conversion of source files (InDesign, FrameMaker, Articulate Storyline, HTML and XML) for the subsequent translation step using different Translation Memory tools such as Trados Studio and MemoQ.
We currently translate contents for: English <-> Portuguese (Brazil) and English <-> Spanish language pairs*. Our work starts with the preparation of files for translation and goes until the final PDF file, to be printed in multiple languages.

Desktop publishing is the creation of documents using page layout skills and design, with the use of specialized softwares it is possible to create layout and produce text and images with typographic quality comparable to traditional printed files. This is an easy way that allows publishers to view and revise their products digitally before printing or finalizing them or even use these products to be viewed electronically.
The file preparation occurs when there are any need to export or extract the text content of a file to translation, i.e. if the source are in uneditable PDF format, the text extraction is necessary since the CAT tools can't get the text from this PDF. In this case, the text must be somehow extract to a 2 columns text or an editable file. This also apply to graphic text, animation, Illustrator files, scanned PDF, etc.
Yes, any recognizable text may be translated, editable or not. Since softwares, labels, magazines, technical manuals, among many others. Although there are font limitations to some languages, we have fonts for all languages.
